About the event
Get it done before school starts! This 90-minute Common App Walk-thru for High School Seniors will allow time for students to set up the Common App section of their application (Profile, Family, Education, and Testing tabs) and receive tips for completing the Activities Section as a sample is demonstrated. All students attending this session will also receive access to a worksheet that guides them through the Activities section. There should be time for additional questions and answers about applying to college.
To prepare for this workshop, please:
- Create your account at http://commonapp.org/
- Have either 2 screens (phone or tablet on zoom and computer on Common App OR a split computer screen (Zoom and Common App)
Gather your materials:
- A copy of your high school transcript
- A list of your activities, work, and family responsibilities
- Test scores and dates from your college entrance exams (SATs, ACTs, etc.)
- Parent/Legal guardian information (Contact information, educational history, current employment)
- List of academic honors and achievements
Tell your friends! Minimum 10 students, maximum 16. (If we don't reach the minimum, you will be reimbursed and offered space in the free session on September 5.)
